Systems Engineer

We are looking for a skilled Systems Engineer to join our team in Daytona Beach, Florida. You will play a key role in designing and managing VMware environments, handling system migrations, and ensuring optimal network performance. You will work in a highly virtualized setting, collaborating on infrastructure projects and providing reliable solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage VMware infrastructures, including vSphere and vCenter.
• Plan and execute migrations from Hyper-V to VMware environments.
• Configure and troubleshoot networking components within vCenter, including switches, VLANs, and trunk ports.
• Optimize system and server performance while ensuring secure connectivity across firewalls.
• Decommission outdated systems and integrate storage solutions using Fiber Channel technologies.
• Collaborate on system architecture projects to support a large-scale user environment.
• Maintain and monitor Microsoft Windows Servers and Active Directory systems.
• Utilize monitoring tools like Zabbix to track system health and performance.
• Work with Cisco networking equipment and Meraki access points to ensure seamless network operations.
• Provide technical support for Microsoft 365, including account creation and basic administrative tasks.
• Extensive experience with VMware technologies, including vSphere and vCenter.
• Proven ability to migrate workloads from Hyper-V to VMware environments.
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts, including VLANs, trunk ports, and firewall configurations.
• Familiarity with Cisco routers, switches, and Meraki access points.
• Proficiency in managing Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory environments.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring tools such as Zabbix.
• Relevant IT certifications such as VMware, Microsoft, Cisco, or Security+.
• Basic knowledge of Linux systems is preferred but not required.
