Systems Engineer

We are looking for a Systems Engineer to support and enhance core infrastructure operations for a restaurant and catering organization in Signal Hill, California. This Long-term Contract position focuses on maintaining reliable server, identity, messaging, and remote access environments while helping teams resolve complex technical issues. The role is well suited for someone who is comfortable working across Microsoft-based systems and delivering stable, secure platform support in a fast-paced business setting.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and support Active Directory and Azure Active Directory environments, including user access, group policies, and directory health.
• Maintain Microsoft Windows Server infrastructure to ensure strong performance, availability, and security across business systems.
• Provide ongoing support for Citrix technologies, resolving access issues and improving the end-user experience for remote and on-site teams.
• Manage Microsoft Exchange operations, including mailbox administration, service reliability, and issue resolution.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot infrastructure problems, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Partner with internal technology teams to apply updates, strengthen security controls, and maintain system documentation.
• Assist with infrastructure-related projects and operational improvements as needed, including work tied to platform or environment changes.
• Deliver technical support and root-cause analysis for escalated server, directory, and messaging incidents.
• Hands-on experience supporting Active Directory in an enterprise environment.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server administration and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Azure Active Directory, including identity and access management tasks.
• Practical expertise supporting Citrix technologies in a business setting.
• Background administering Microsoft Exchange and resolving related service issues.
• Ability to diagnose complex infrastructure problems across server, directory, and messaging platforms.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders.
