This role is well suited for someone who can guide teams, uphold regulatory and cGMP standards, and partner across departments to maintain product integrity. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in pharmaceutical manufacturing, sound judgment in quality decision-making, and a hands-on approach to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Guide, coach, and strengthen the quality assurance team, including the direction and development of QA auditors.
  • Maintain adherence to regulatory expectations, cGMP standards, and established internal quality practices across manufacturing activities.
  • Direct inspection activities, packaging reviews, and quality testing processes to support timely and accurate product disposition.
  • Examine and authorize batch documentation, manufacturing records, packaging requirements, and bills of materials for accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage nonconformance investigations by identifying root causes, defining corrective actions, and driving issue resolution to completion.
  • Plan and lead internal quality assessments while coordinating support for customer, regulatory, and external third-party audits.
  • Work closely with production and operations teams to address process gaps, improve execution, and reduce recurring quality concerns.
  • Advance quality system improvements that enhance compliance, documentation accuracy, and overall operational performance.
  • Preserve complete and audit-ready records to ensure consistent traceability and inspection preparedness.
  • At least 5 years of leadership experience in quality assurance within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory expectations and cGMP requirements related to controlled manufacturing operations.
  • Demonstrated experience with audits, investigations, CAPA management, batch record review, and product release support.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, develop staff, and promote accountability in a quality-driven setting.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions based on documented evidence.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and audit interaction.
  • Proficiency in maintaining accurate quality documentation and supporting inspection readiness at all times.
