Robert Half is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join our Full-Time Engagement Professionals (FTEP) team in the Dayton area. As an FTEP, you will be a full-time employee of Robert Half and support clients on a variety of accounting engagements. This unique opportunity offers the stability of full-time employment while allowing you to expand your experience across different organizations, industries, accounting systems, and projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general accounting functions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Complete account and bank reconciliations
- Assist with month-end close and financial reporting
- Support payroll-related accounting functions
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Work within various ERP and accounting systems
- Support interim accounting needs, special projects, and process improvements
- Adapt quickly to different client environments, systems, and priorities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- 3+ years of accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and processes
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- ERP experience with systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or JDE preferred
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly to new environments
