Our client is looking for a Staff Accountant to join our growing accounting team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of general accounting principles, experience supporting month-end close activities, and hands-on experience working within Oracle ERP. This role will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of financial data, preparing reconciliations and journal entries, and supporting accurate and timely financial reporting. This role is 100% onsite, but has a flexible schedule with start times.
Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, reclassifications, and recurring entries. Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities. Perform bank, balance sheet, and general ledger account reconciliations. Analyze financial transactions and investigate variances or discrepancies. Maintain supporting schedules for prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and accruals. Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable reconciliations as needed. Utilize Oracle ERP to process transactions, run reports, and maintain financial records. Support financial statement preparation and reporting. Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies. Assist with internal and external audit requests. Participate in process improvement initiatives and help strengthen internal controls. Collaborate with finance, operations, and business partners to address accounting-related inquiries.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 2+ years of accounting experience. Hands-on experience with Oracle ERP required. Understanding of general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes. Knowledge of GAAP and accrual accounting principles. Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and formulas. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
