Original job description
- Perform cost of goods sold reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Process and review inventory requisitions to support proper inventory control and tracking.
- Maintain and analyze accounts receivable reserves to support accurate financial statements.
- Review and reconcile bank statements to ensure cash activity is properly recorded.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies as needed.
- Assist with the preparation, review, and analysis of balance sheets.
- Complete work-in-process reconciliations to support accurate inventory and production accounting.
- Maintain fixed asset records, including additions, disposals, depreciation, and reconciliations.
- Monitor and reconcile cash activity to ensure accurate recording and reporting.
- Experience with general accounting, account reconciliations, and financial statement support.
- Knowledge of cost of goods sold reconciliation, work-in-process reconciliations, and inventory accounting.
- Experience reviewing inventory requisitions, accounts receivable reserves, bank statements, and cash activity.
- Familiarity with fixed asset accounting, including asset tracking, depreciation, and reconciliations.
- Strong understanding of balance sheet reconciliations and month-end close processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting or ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and reconciliations.
- Ability to manage deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
