The position will play an important role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting reporting activities, and helping ensure reliable accounting processes across multiple clinic locations.
Responsibilities:
- Review and process vendor invoices, verifying proper coding, completeness, and payment accuracy before entry.
- Perform reconciliations for bank activity and general ledger accounts to maintain accurate and timely financial records.
- Contribute to month-end and year-end close activities by preparing schedules, organizing support, and assisting with deadline-driven accounting tasks.
- Create journal entries and preserve clear documentation to support account activity and audit readiness.
- Reconcile incoming cash receipts and deposits from several clinic sites to ensure balances are recorded correctly.
- Examine vendor statements, research outstanding items, and help resolve billing or payment inconsistencies.
- Track fixed assets and prepaid balances, ensuring records remain current and expenses are recognized appropriately.
- Support vendor onboarding and maintain organized, up-to-date vendor records within accounting files.
- Assist with financial reporting requests, audit preparation, and adherence to accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Partner with clinic leadership and corporate teams to address accounting questions and improve issue resolution across departments.
- Experience preparing journal entries and working within the general ledger in a detail-focused accounting environment.
- Hands-on knowledge of accounts payable processes, including invoice review, coding, and vendor coordination.
- Familiarity with accounts receivable activities such as cash application, receipt reconciliation, and deposit tracking.
- Ability to support financial statement preparation and contribute to monthly and annual close processes.
- Strong account reconciliation skills with attention to detail and accuracy across multiple balance sheet accounts.
- Comfortable working with supporting documentation, audit requests, and established internal control procedures.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across clinic operations and corporate departments.
