The role offers exposure to detailed financial review, compliance-oriented analysis, and core accounting activities that contribute to client audit engagements.

Responsibilities:

  • Review Medicare and Medicaid records through detailed desk-based audit procedures to identify accuracy, completeness, and compliance issues.
  • Examine financial and supporting documentation, reconcile findings, and organize audit evidence for client engagements.
  • Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger records to support accurate accounting activity tied to audit work.
  • Assist with corporate tax and sales tax-related accounting tasks as needed in connection with broader financial review responsibilities.
  • Contribute to the preparation and analysis of corporate tax return support schedules and related accounting documentation.
  • Collaborate with internal team members to clarify discrepancies, document conclusions, and maintain consistent audit standards.
  • Track assigned work carefully, meet project deadlines, and ensure records are maintained in an orderly and consistent manner.
  • Associate degree with two additional years of relevant experience, or a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • Interest in developing a long-term career path in accounting within a firm environment.
  • Understanding of fundamental accounting concepts, including journal entries and general ledger activity.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for documenting findings and working with team members.
