Staff Accountant

We are partnering with a growing organization in the Syracuse, NY area that is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its accounting team on a contract-to-permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting detail oriented looking to expand their experience in a collaborative environment while contributing to the day-to-day financial operations of the business. The ideal candidate will have a solid accounting foundation, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and account reconciliations Assist with month-end and year-end close activities Analyze financial data and support the preparation of financial reports Reconcile bank statements and balance sheet accounts Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes as needed Review and investigate accounting discrepancies and variances Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and audit preparation Maintain accurate financial records and documentation Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures Collaborate with internal departments to support financial operations.
