Staff Accountant

Our client is seeking an Accountant for an in-office role supporting day-to-day accounting operations. This position is ideal for a professional with 2–5 years of experience in GAAP accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, general ledger support, payroll, and month-end close. Construction industry experience is preferred, and experience with job cost accounting, AIA billing, and WIP reporting is a plus. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required, and Sage Intacct experience is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle day-to-day GAAP accounting activities
• Prepare and post journal entries
• Perform account reconciliations and maintain general ledger accuracy
• Support payroll processing and related accounting functions
• Assist with month-end close activities
• Help maintain accurate financial records and support reporting needs
• Assist with job cost accounting, AIA billing, and WIP reporting as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
