Original job description

We are looking for a Sr. Software Engineer to support the development of control software used in high-precision semiconductor assembly and packaging equipment. This contract position with the potential to become permanent offers the opportunity to contribute across the full software lifecycle, from defining requirements and building new capabilities to testing, troubleshooting, and improving system performance in both simulated and lab-based machine environments. The role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys hands-on technical problem-solving, architecting scalable solutions, and partnering with cross-functional teams to advance complex equipment software.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and build software solutions that support advanced semiconductor equipment used in precision manufacturing environments.
  • Translate functional needs into technical specifications, develop code, and complete unit testing to ensure reliable performance.
  • Investigate software issues in simulation and engineering lab settings, identify root causes, and implement effective fixes.
  • Contribute to the evolution of software platforms, system architecture, and shared infrastructure to improve long-term performance and maintainability.
  • Partner with engineering and cross-disciplinary stakeholders to move development efforts forward and support aligned project execution.
  • Take ownership of designated software modules, establish direction for future enhancements, and promote best practices within the team.
  • Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing to other engineers working on related applications and components.
  • Strong detail-oriented experience developing software with C# and .NET.
  • Hands-on knowledge of React.js and JavaScript for modern application development.
  • Experience working with ASP.NET in enterprise or industrial software environments.
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles and software design practices.
  • Familiarity with the full Software Development Life Cycle, including requirements analysis, implementation, testing, and debugging.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex software defects and deliver practical, well-structured resolutions.
  • Proven experience collaborating with cross-functional teams on technically complex projects.
