Original job description

We are looking for an experienced Sr Scrum Master to support high-impact initiatives. This position is ideal for a servant leader who can guide Agile teams, strengthen delivery practices, and build strong partnerships across business and technology groups. The person in this role will help drive alignment on priorities, improve team effectiveness, and ensure consistent progress toward product goals while promoting transparency and collaboration.

Responsibilities:

  • Guide multiple Agile teams in applying Scrum practices effectively, helping them improve delivery discipline, team ownership, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with Product Owners, stakeholders, and delivery teams to align priorities, shape release planning, and keep product work moving toward business objectives.
  • Facilitate key Agile ceremonies and team discussions, encouraging informed decision-making, healthy conflict resolution, and strong cross-functional collaboration.
  • Remove blockers that affect progress and support teams in overcoming organizational or operational challenges that may impact delivery timelines or outcomes.
  • Advise Product Owners on roadmap development, release strategy, and backlog direction based on business priorities, team input, and delivery capacity.
  • Monitor progress across large initiatives or multiple product teams, providing clear status reporting, meaningful metrics, and visibility into risks, dependencies, and changes.
  • Identify opportunities to refine workflows and product management practices, then implement practical process improvements that increase efficiency and predictability.
  • Communicate initiative health, performance trends, and delivery updates to senior leaders and key stakeholders using concise and actionable reporting.
  • Champion Agile ways of working across the organization by coaching teams, contributing to communities of practice, and helping expand Agile maturity and consistency.
  • Support product lifecycle activities from early planning through execution and closeout, ensuring outcomes remain aligned with scope, budget, schedule, and business value.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Advanced knowledge of Scrum principles, Agile values, and iterative delivery practices, with the ability to coach teams beyond basic framework adoption.
  • Demonstrated experience leading multiple Agile teams or large, enterprise-level initiatives with significant business visibility and impact.
  • Strong communication and consulting skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders, present status clearly, and build alignment across teams.
  • Experience with roadmap planning, progress tracking, KPI or metric reporting, and executive-level updates for complex initiatives.
  • Proven ability to drive process improvement, remove delivery obstacles, and foster collaboration across product, business, and technology partners.
  • Proficiency with common business and reporting tools such as Microsoft Excel and related planning or monitoring solutions.
  • Familiarity with technical and operational environments that may include REST APIs, change management practices, and structured project or budget planning processes.
