Original job description

We are looking for an experienced CRM Administrator to support and strengthen a complex Salesforce environment for an education-focused organization in San Antonio, Texas. This Long-term Contract opportunity is suited for a senior-level specialist who can maintain day-to-day platform stability while also advising on improvements that enhance performance, usability, and governance. The role combines hands-on administration, stakeholder support, and strategic input across multiple Salesforce-related tools and processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer and maintain the Salesforce platform across a multi-cloud environment, ensuring reliable daily operations and a consistent user experience.
  • Manage account access, role assignments, profiles, and permission structures to uphold security standards and appropriate data visibility.
  • Respond to support requests and service issues, diagnose system problems, and resolve platform-related questions in a timely manner.
  • Build and refine workflows, automation, reports, and dashboards to improve business processes and provide meaningful operational insight.
  • Oversee data quality activities, including troubleshooting record issues, supporting imports or updates, and helping preserve system accuracy.
  • Provide administrative support for Salesforce Marketing Cloud and assist users with campaign-related platform needs.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to evaluate current processes, identify improvement opportunities, and recommend practical platform enhancements.
  • Review overall org health, contribute to governance best practices, and support long-range platform optimization efforts.
  • Assist with integration and data flow troubleshooting when connected systems or interfaces require analysis and administrative support.
  • At least 5 years of Salesforce administration experience in enterprise-level environments.
  • Current Salesforce Administrator certification, such as ADM 201.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting more than one Salesforce cloud, including Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Strong knowledge of user setup, security architecture, roles, profiles, permission sets, automation, reporting, and dashboard creation.
  • Solid background in data administration, issue resolution, and ongoing platform support.
  • Ability to work independently and manage operational priorities with limited supervision.
  • Strong communication and customer support skills, with experience working directly with stakeholders and handling ticket-based requests.
  • Exposure to environments in healthcare, higher education, or the public sector, along with certifications such as Advanced Administrator or Marketing Cloud Administrator, is preferred.
