Responsibilities:

  • Direct monthly close activities, including account review, consolidation, and preparation of accurate financial reports within established timelines.
  • Prepare and review journal entries and other general ledger activity to ensure business transactions are recorded completely and correctly.
  • Develop financial statements and related analysis that provide leadership with a clear view of operating results, balance sheet activity, and future performance trends.
  • Reconcile key balance sheet accounts and determine appropriate accounting treatment for reserves, capital items, and operating expenditures.
  • Collaborate with external audit and tax partners on reporting matters, compliance questions, and project-based financial analysis.
  • Supervise, mentor, and support accounting team members to encourage strong performance and career growth.
  • Improve accounting workflows by establishing, updating, and documenting procedures, controls, and system-related processes.
  • Maintain cost accounting data for finished goods and overhead allocation while providing profitability analysis for customers, products, and selected operations.
