Senior Accountant (WITH HYBRID FLEX!)
Robert Half has partnered with an industry leading manufacturing organization as they seek a Senior Accountant to support cost accounting and month-end close activities. Collaborting with the Plant Controller, this role will handle journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis, budgeting support, inventory processes, and standard cost system maintenance. The position will also assist with internal and external audits and provide backup cost accounting support for other plants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform month-end close activities, including journal entries, reports, and reconciliations
- Analyze production orders, spending variances, balance sheet accuracy, and accrual needs
- Support the annual operating budget, capital spending, and depreciation planning
- Assist with physical inventory and cycle count audits
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP and company accounting policies
- Partner with plant management and cross-functional teams including engineering, quality, EH&S, and manufacturing
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
- 3+ years of accounting or finance experience
- Manufacturing or plant accounting experience (or public accounting with manufacturing clients)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- SAP experience preferred
