Senior Accountant Location: Pasadena, TX A growing company in Pasadena is seeking a Senior Accountant with strong general accounting experience and a background in project-based accounting. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with operations, analyzing project costs, and improving accounting processes.
Responsibilities
- Manage month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
- Support project accounting, including work-in-progress (WIP) reporting, job costing, and percentage-of-completion (POC) accounting.
- Analyze project costs, margins, and financial variances.
- Prepare financial reports and assist with monthly financial statement preparation.
- Partner with operations to ensure accurate project cost tracking and reporting.
- Support audits, internal controls, and accounting process improvements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- 4+ years of accounting experience,
- Exposure to WIP, job costing, or percentage-of-completion accounting.
- Strong Excel skills required.
- ERP Experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
