If you enjoy taking ownership, improving processes, and partnering with leadership, this could be your next opportunity!
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the monthly financial close process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP and company policies.
- Manage general ledger activities, journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Oversee inventory accounting, including inventory valuation, reconciliations, adjustments, and cost analysis.
- Analyze inventory variances, cost trends, and discrepancies while identifying opportunities to improve financial controls.
- Investigate financial variances and provide meaningful reporting and insights to leadership.
- Manage accounts payable activities, including invoice review, vendor payments, ACH transactions, wire transfers, and expense reimbursements.
- Partner with procurement and operations teams to strengthen purchasing and procure-to-pay processes.
- Maintain fixed asset records, depreciation schedules, construction-in-progress accounting, and project costing.
- Support tax reporting, year-end activities, revenue recognition, and accounts receivable functions as needed.
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, strengthen internal controls, and improve reporting accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong experience in a Senior Accountant or similar accounting role.
- Inventory accounting experience is highly desirable, including inventory valuation, cost accounting, and inventory reconciliations.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and the month-end/year-end close process.
- Advanced general ledger, journal entry, and account reconciliation skills.
- Experience with fixed assets, accounts payable, and financial reporting.
- Strong Excel skills and experience working with ERP/accounting systems.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently while partnering effectively with operations and leadership.
