We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to join our team. This permanent, in-office position is ideal for a detail-oriented finance specialist who can manage day-to-day accounting operations across multiple entities while maintaining strong accuracy and control. The role will support timely financial reporting, month-end close, reconciliations, and cross-functional coordination to keep accounting processes running smoothly.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage monthly accounting activities for several entities, using QuickBooks and related financial systems to maintain complete and current records.
  • Maintain accurate customer and vendor information within the accounting platform, ensuring data integrity and proper documentation.
  • Lead core transactional accounting tasks, including bank and credit card reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll entries, and journal posting.
  • Review and authorize vendor invoices, coordinate payment processing, and help ensure obligations are paid accurately and on schedule.
  • Direct month-end close procedures by preparing and reviewing financial statements, reconciling general ledger accounts, and resolving intercompany balance differences.
  • Partner with the finance team to prepare schedules, documentation, and support needed for operational and financial audit activities.
  • Serve as a key point of contact between acquired businesses and internal departments to facilitate communication, address issues, and support integration-related accounting needs.
  • Contribute to additional accounting and finance initiatives as business priorities evolve.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or finance positions with increasing responsibility.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and directly relevant experience.
  • Active CPA designation is required.
  • Strong working knowledge of accounting systems and reporting tools, including experience with QuickBooks or comparable platforms.
  • Solid understanding of general ledger activity, month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and internal control practices.
  • Experience working with an employer organization such as Insperity is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities accurately.
