Senior Accountant – Technical Accounting Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant with a background in merchant cash advance financing, automobile financing, or banking. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting expertise, particularly with ASC 842 (Lease Accounting), and experience supporting financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly financial statements, journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activity to ensure accuracy and compliance with U.S. GAAP.
• Apply ASC 842 technical accounting standards, including lease identification, classification, calculations, right-of-use assets, lease liabilities, and financial statement disclosures.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting and resolution of accounting discrepancies.
• Analyze financing transactions, loan portfolios, interest income and expense, and related accounting activities within merchant cash advance, automotive financing, or banking environments.
• Research complex accounting matters, document technical accounting conclusions, and assist with implementing new accounting standards and internal controls.
• Collaborate with finance, operations, and external auditors to support audit requests, improve accounting processes, and maintain compliance with regulatory and reporting requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Senior-level accounting experience within merchant cash advance financing, automotive financing, or the banking industry.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with ASC 842 technical accounting and lease accounting.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting systems or ERP platforms.
