  • Support month-end and year-end close activities by posting journal entries, reviewing transactions, and confirming that balances are properly classified.
  • Coordinate audit readiness by assembling schedules, documentation, and other supporting materials, then record approved audit adjustments and assist with annual closeout tasks.
  • Administer accounts payable processes by entering invoices, initiating payments through approved banking tools, and maintaining appropriate approval controls.
  • Process bi-weekly payroll and manage related filings and documentation to support compliance with applicable state and federal requirements.
  • Monitor cash activity, update cash forecasts, and help ensure funds are available to meet organizational and program needs.
  • Partner with executive leadership on annual budget preparation, financial planning support, and ongoing tracking of budget performance.
  • Maintain insurance-related financial administration, assist with regulatory filings and renewals, and serve as a finance resource for board audit and finance matters.
  • Strong experience with month-end close activities, including journal entries, account analysis, and financial statement preparation.
  • Demonstrated expertise in general ledger accounting and maintaining accurate financial records in a complex environment.
  • Proficiency in account reconciliation and bank reconciliation with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
  • Background supporting audits, preparing schedules, and working with external auditors to complete annual reporting requirements.
  • Experience handling accounts payable, payroll processing, and related compliance documentation.
  • Ability to prepare financial reports, cash forecasts, and budget tracking materials for leadership review.
  • Strong analytical skills with a high level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Prior experience in a non-profit or fund-based accounting environment is highly preferred.
