Software Engineer 2

We are looking for a Software Engineer 2 to support identity and access management operations in Kansas City, Kansas. This Long-term Contract position focuses on strengthening privileged access practices, authentication services, and directory administration across Windows and hybrid cloud environments. The role partners with engineering, infrastructure, application, and vendor teams to address access-related issues, improve integrations, and create reliable operational documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and support identity and access management services with a focus on privileged access, authentication workflows, and directory-based security controls.
• Coordinate the onboarding and maintenance of privileged accounts, ensuring appropriate access levels, credential handling, and session oversight are in place.
• Troubleshoot identity, login, and access issues across enterprise platforms and work closely with internal technical teams and external vendors to restore service efficiently.
• Assist with integrations between identity platforms, enterprise applications, and infrastructure components to improve secure connectivity and user access management.
• Perform access reviews and support governance activities by validating entitlements, monitoring control effectiveness, and helping maintain audit readiness.
• Document technical procedures, support models, and repeatable workflows to strengthen operational consistency and improve team efficiency.
• Support directory services administration in Windows and hybrid cloud environments, including user access, authentication dependencies, and policy-driven controls.
• Contribute to ongoing improvements in identity operations by identifying process gaps, recommending practical enhancements, and supporting implementation efforts across IAM tools.
• Hands-on experience supporting identity and access management or security platforms within enterprise environments.
• Working knowledge of privileged access management, access control, authentication methods, and directory services.
• Experience administering Microsoft technologies such as Active Directory, Entra ID, and related Windows-based identity services.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues involving SSO, federation, account access, and hybrid cloud identity integrations.
• Familiarity with documenting operating procedures, technical processes, and support workflows in a clear and maintainable format.
• Proven ability to collaborate with application teams, infrastructure teams, and third-party vendors on operational and integration efforts.
• Understanding of access governance concepts such as account onboarding, entitlement review, and lifecycle management.
• Preferred experience with certificate services, PKI-related technologies, or legacy Active Directory administration.
