Senior Finance Associate | Investment Firm | San Francisco; Hybrid

Join a high-growth private investment firm focused on the venture and growth equity ecosystem. The firm offers a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment and the opportunity to work with sophisticated institutional funds during an exciting stage of growth.

This is a high-exposure role spanning fund accounting, financial reporting, treasury, and investor activity, with a strong focus on review, analysis, and oversight rather than day-to-day fund administration. You'll work closely with a lean finance team, gain exposure to complex investment vehicles, and help drive process improvements as the platform continues to scale. Strong bonus potential, excellent benefits, and long-term career growth.

Responsibilities

  • Review fund accounting, NAVs, capital activity, and financial reporting prepared by third-party administrators
  • Oversee fund administrators and resolve accounting and reporting matters
  • Review financial statements, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
  • Support treasury, cash forecasting, and liquidity management
  • Assist with capital calls, distributions, subscriptions, and investor activity
  • Support audits, tax processes, and external service providers
  • Perform financial analysis and support special projects
  • Drive process improvements and control enhancements
  • Partner with teams across multiple investment vehicles

For fastest consideration, reach out to Michelle Espejo via email or LinkedIn.

  • 2-5 years of experience in investment funds, private equity, venture capital, alternatives, or financial services
  • Public accounting/Big 4 experience strongly preferred; CPA preferred
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and fund accounting
  • Strong analytical, Excel, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and attention to detail
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced investment environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
