My client is looking for a Senior Accountant to fill the role in their Bethesda, MD office. The company is based in the real estate industry and the ideal Senior Accountant for this role will be responsible for supporting the accounting and SEC reporting for the accounting department. The responsibilities for the Senior Accountant will include producing the financial statements, ensuring compliance with ASC standards, assisting with the consolidation process, contributing to the SEC reporting, reviewing and posting intercompany transactions, researching technical accounting matters, and assisting with the quarterly close process. Daily responsibilities of the Senior Accountant include:
· Prepare financial statements. · Assist with quarterly close process. · Support SEC reporting process. · Research technical accounting matters. · Ensures revenue accounting is in compliance with ASC standards. · Assist with other ad hoc duties.
The ideal Senior Accountant we seek must have the following qualifications for consideration:
· 2-3+ years of relevant accounting experience. · Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. · Experience with ASC 606 standards. · Familiarity with SEC requirements. · CPA, preferred.
