Senior Accountant

Our client in Oakland is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant for a contract opportunity. This role will support core accounting operations, month-end close, reconciliations, financial reporting, and general ledger activities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Based on general knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activity
• Analyze financial data and support preparation of internal financial reports
• Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Support audits by preparing schedules and documentation
• Partner with finance and operational teams to resolve accounting issues
• Help improve accounting processes and reporting efficiency
• Based on general knowledge.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
• Experience with month-end close and account reconciliation processes
• Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• CPA or CPA-track preferred
• Based on general knowledge.
