SEC Reporting Analyst

We are looking for an experienced SEC Reporting Analyst to support financial reporting activities for a Long-term Contract position based in Los Angeles, California. This role will focus on preparing accurate external filings, developing high-quality disclosures, and partnering across accounting, tax, and audit functions. The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of SEC reporting, technical accounting, and income tax reporting, along with the ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare footnote disclosures and supporting schedules for quarterly and annual SEC filings, including Forms 10-Q and 10-K.
• Assist with the completion of external financial reports by coordinating information across corporate accounting and related stakeholders.
• Partner with external auditors to provide documentation, respond to inquiries, and support the review process for filed statements.
• Apply technical accounting knowledge to evaluate reporting matters and help ensure disclosures are complete and compliant.
• Support technical accounting and purchase accounting to ensure compliance with US GAAP.
• Lead purchase accounting efforts (valuation, purchase price allocation, fair value, opening B/S) in compliance with ASC805
• Contribute to month-end and period-end close activities by preparing journal entries, reviewing general ledger activity, and reconciling accounts.
• Utilize Oracle and related financial systems to gather reporting data, validate balances, and maintain reporting accuracy.
• 7+ years of experience in SEC reporting, financial reporting, or a closely related accounting function.
• Demonstrated experience preparing or supporting Forms 10-Q and 10-K, including related footnote disclosures.
• Strong understanding of technical accounting guidance and external reporting requirements.
• Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions and purchase accounting, and related audit documentation.
• Working knowledge of ASC805
• Proficiency with Oracle and strong analytical skills for reviewing financial data.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with corporate accounting teams, tax professionals, and external auditors.
