SAN L3 Engineer

We're looking for a hands-on SAN L3 Engineer to support and administer enterprise storage infrastructure in a high-availability production environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex storage issues, optimizing performance, and partnering with server, virtualization, and network teams to keep critical systems running smoothly.

What You'll Be Doing

• Provide Level 3 support for enterprise SAN and storage environments
• Troubleshoot storage outages, performance bottlenecks, and connectivity issues
• Manage Dell EMC PowerMax, Unity, and Data Domain platforms
• Perform storage provisioning, LUN masking, zoning, replication, snapshots, and migrations
• Support VMware environments, including vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter integrations
• Monitor capacity, utilization, and storage health while identifying optimization opportunities
• Partner with infrastructure, server, network, and application teams to resolve incidents
• Participate in upgrades, patching, change management, and disaster recovery initiatives
• Support backup and recovery operations and ensure business continuity readiness
• Maintain storage documentation, SOPs, and operational runbooks
• Participate in on-call support and critical incident response activities

Required Skills

• 7+ years of SAN/Storage Administration experience
• Dell EMC PowerMax, Unity, and Data Domain
• VMware, iSCSI, multipathing, storage networking
• Storage performance tuning and troubleshooting
• Windows Server and Linux (RHEL) environments
• Experience with monitoring and ticketing platforms
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Nice to Have

• Dell EMC or VMware certifications
• Veeam experience
• PowerShell, PowerCLI, or Python automation
