The role works closely with employees and site leadership to address incidents, deliver training, and maintain readiness for routine and high-risk activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform site visits to evaluate working conditions, recognize safety concerns, and help reduce exposure to environmental and physical hazards.
  • Review incidents thoroughly, document findings, identify contributing factors, and recommend practical measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Coordinate care for injured employees, track recovery status, and communicate work limitations or return-to-work needs.
  • Record safety issues, confirm that corrective measures are completed, and support timely hazard mitigation efforts.
  • Use monitoring equipment to assess workplace conditions such as noise and air quality, and keep instruments properly maintained and calibrated.
  • Administer respiratory protection activities, including equipment checks, fit testing, and compliance with required protective measures.
  • Deliver safety instruction for new hires and existing staff on procedures, regulatory expectations, and safe equipment use.
  • Observe field operations, manage permit-related safety activities, and intervene when conditions require immediate work stoppage.
  • Support emergency preparedness planning, decontamination oversight, and other administrative or technical safety duties as needed.
  • Associate degree, technical training, relevant experience, or an equivalent mix of education and practical background.
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish with the ability to communicate clearly in verbal and written formats.
  • Ability to read, understand, and apply safety standards, operating procedures, and regulatory guidance.
  • Experience preparing reports, documenting findings, and presenting information to employees or customers.
  • Strong computer skills and the ability to manage routine administrative documentation.
  • Valid Texas driver's license and a driving record that meets motor vehicle review requirements.
  • Ability to travel to job sites frequently, with field-based work making up approximately 90% of the role.
  • Safety credentials such as OSHA 500 or instructor-level First Aid certification are preferred.
