We are looking for a detail-oriented Records Clerk to support a long-term contract assignment. In this role, you will help maintain organized physical and digital records while ensuring documentation is handled in line with company retention standards. This position is well suited to someone who is comfortable working with files, technology, and repetitive processes that require accuracy. You will play an important part in preparing records for storage, retrieval, and proper disposition.

Responsibilities:

  • Organize and sort physical records to support document cleanup efforts and ensure compliance with established retention guidelines.
  • Scan and upload file materials into the company’s digital records platform with a strong focus on completeness and accuracy.
  • Locate requested files and prepare document batches for transfer to an offsite storage facility.
  • Review loan identifiers and related documentation in the paperless system before records are archived.
  • Identify and pull eligible files for secure destruction according to retention schedules and internal procedures.
  • Maintain orderly paper filing systems across the office to improve accessibility and record control.
  • Check files for accuracy, completeness, and proper labeling before storage or disposal actions are completed.
  • Keep record inventories and supporting documentation organized so information can be retrieved efficiently when needed.
  • Experience handling records, files, or administrative documentation in a structured office environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to verify data accurately and maintain organized file systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and confidence using computer-based tools for tracking and documentation.
  • Comfortable learning internal platforms and working within digital recordkeeping systems.
  • Ability to work independently, follow written procedures, and apply retention policies consistently.
