The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a busy industrial setting, stays organized under deadlines, and takes a safety-first approach to daily tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Verify incoming deliveries by comparing shipment contents and documentation with purchase orders and receiving records.
  • Enter receipt information accurately into inventory management and business systems to keep stock data current.
  • Investigate and communicate shortages, damaged items, and delivery discrepancies to purchasing contacts and suppliers in a timely manner.
  • Organize and maintain receiving paperwork so records are accessible for tracking, reconciliation, and audit support.
  • Assist with vendor return activity by coordinating documentation and processing materials through the return authorization workflow.
  • Work closely with drivers, vendors, purchasing staff, and operations teams to resolve issues affecting incoming materials.
  • Label and direct received items to the correct storage, inventory, or job-use locations to support efficient material flow.
  • Keep the receiving area orderly and compliant with site safety expectations while following proper material-handling practices.
  • Provide additional warehouse or inventory support duties as needed to meet operational priorities.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • At least 2 years of experience in receiving, warehouse operations, or inventory control is preferred.
  • Experience in an industrial or construction-related environment is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of purchase orders, packing slips, shipping paperwork, and inventory documentation is required.
  • Familiarity with inventory software and ERP platforms, including systems such as Viewpoint Vista or Trimble Viewpoint, is preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 30 pounds safely.
  • Experience with inventory tracking, asset inventory, and physical inventory processes is beneficial.
