Python Developer

We are looking for a Python Developer to join a financial services organization in Plano, Texas on a contract-to-permanent basis. This opportunity is ideal for an engineer who enjoys building scalable software in a collaborative environment and contributing to high-impact lending technology initiatives. You will work alongside a cross-functional team of developers and business partners to create reliable solutions, improve platform capabilities, and help shape new technical approaches.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and enhance Python-based applications that support core lending and loan origination capabilities
• Partner with cross-functional teammates, including engineers and front-end developers, to deliver well-structured and maintainable software solutions
• Contribute to the development of new platform components and intelligent workflow features from initial design through implementation
• Help improve and modernize existing application architecture to support performance, scalability, and long-term maintainability
• Develop cloud-ready services and integrations using AWS to support secure and efficient application delivery
• Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and solution planning to promote strong engineering standards across the team
• Translate business use cases into effective software designs and clearly communicate technical decisions to stakeholders
• Detail-oriented experience developing software applications with Python
• Hands-on exposure to Amazon Web Services (AWS) in a development or deployment environment
• Ability to design and implement backend solutions with attention to scalability and code quality
• Experience working effectively within cross-functional product and engineering teams
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to explain technical concepts through practical use cases
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools or technologies such as Claude is preferred
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to software delivery
