Original job description

We are looking for a Contract Project Manager to support an implementation in Osceola, Wisconsin. This role will guide project execution from planning through follow-through, partnering with cross-functional teams to keep work on schedule, aligned to priorities, and responsive to challenges as they arise. The position requires a hands-on, detail-oriented individual who can communicate clearly with team members at all levels, build momentum across departments, and help drive successful implementation and training efforts in a production environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain project plans, status reports, visual trackers, presentations, and other documentation needed to support execution and leadership visibility.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and external vendors to clarify project goals, define scope, organize resources, and keep deliverables aligned with timelines and budget expectations.
  • Monitor day-to-day progress, identify roadblocks early, escalate issues when appropriate, and help teams move through challenges with practical solutions.
  • Track milestones, performance indicators, and project outcomes by building dashboards, charts, and summary materials for regular updates.
  • Support budget oversight by monitoring project-related costs, highlighting savings opportunities, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
  • Coordinate meetings, document decisions, assign follow-up items, and ensure action items are completed on time across multiple workstreams.
  • Work closely with production, planning, inventory, shipping, and receiving teams, maintaining a visible presence on the floor to understand operational needs and support execution.
  • Collaborate with implementation partners and internal teams during ERP-related project activities, serving as an advocate for the business while helping teams prepare for rollout and adoption.
  • Develop training materials and assist with end-user education to improve readiness, reinforce process understanding, and support a smooth transition during implementation.
  • Provide general administrative and organizational support to project leaders and stakeholders to keep initiatives moving efficiently
  • Proven experience managing cross-functional projects in a structured, deadline-driven environment.
  • Background supporting implementation initiatives, with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and moving parts effectively.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, including confidence leading discussions with hourly staff, leadership, and external partners.
  • Ability to work hands-on in a manufacturing setting and engage directly with operational teams on the production floor.
  • Experience creating project documentation, dashboards, reports, presentations, and training materials.
  • Familiarity with budgeting, milestone tracking, issue resolution, and follow-up management within project work.
  • Manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred; candidates from non-manufacturing sectors such as healthcare are less aligned with this role.
  • PMP certification and experience with Epicor or Epicor ERP are preferred.
