Program Manager

We are seeking an experienced Program Manager with deep insurance industry experience to lead the operational launch of new insurance businesses, MGAs, programs, and divisions. This role sits within an Integration Management Office (IMO) environment but is not a traditional M&A integration role. The focus is on taking a new insurance venture from concept through operational readiness and launch - coordinating the people, processes, systems, controls, and infrastructure required to stand up the business. The ideal candidate has strong cross-functional program management experience within insurance and has successfully coordinated complex initiatives spanning multiple business functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead new insurance businesses, MGAs, programs, or divisions from planning through operational launch and stabilization.
• Build and manage integrated project plans, milestones, dependencies, timelines, and critical-path activities.
• Coordinate cross-functional workstreams across Finance, Accounting, Legal, Compliance, HR, IT, Operations, Data, Underwriting, Claims, Carrier Management, and Marketing.
• Drive implementation of the target operating model, including required processes, systems, controls, staffing, and governance.
• Manage operational readiness and ensure key capabilities are established prior to launch.
• Facilitate project governance, working sessions, steering committees, and executive go/no-go discussions.
• Maintain RAID logs, decision registers, project documentation, and executive status reporting.
• Identify and proactively manage risks, issues, dependencies, and decisions that could impact launch.
• Drive accountability across stakeholders and functional leaders without direct authority.
• Support post-launch stabilization/hypercare and capture lessons learned to improve future launch playbooks.

Insurance industry experience is required. Strong understanding of insurance operations and the functions required to establish and operate an insurance business, MGA, program, or similar venture. Significant cross-functional program/project management experience involving multiple business functions. Experience within an M&A Integration Management Office, business integration, transformation, new business launch, or similarly complex cross-functional environment. Proven ability to manage complex programs with numerous stakeholders, dependencies, and competing priorities. Strong executive communication and stakeholder-management skills. Experience developing integrated project plans, governance structures, RAID logs, executive reporting, and readiness assessments. Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and drive execution without direct authority.
