PDF Remediator

We are looking for a PDF Remediator to join our team in Houston, Texas on a Contract basis. This position focuses on improving the accessibility, structure, and usability of PDF documents while applying front-end development knowledge to deliver compliant digital content. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React.js to support document remediation and enhance user experience across web-based environments.

Responsibilities:

• Remediate PDF files to improve accessibility, readability, and compliance with recognized digital accessibility standards.
• Review document layouts and tagging structures to ensure content is properly organized for assistive technologies.
• Apply front-end development skills to support accessible content presentation using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related frameworks.
• Partner with internal teams to identify document issues, resolve formatting barriers, and maintain quality expectations.
• Test remediated files and digital content to confirm usability across different browsers, devices, and accessibility tools.
• Document remediation work, track updates, and communicate progress clearly to stakeholders throughout the assignment.
• Experience working with PDF remediation and digital accessibility best practices.
• Proficiency in React.js, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.
• Familiarity with front-end frameworks and responsive content development.
• Ability to identify structural and formatting issues that affect accessibility and user experience.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple documents and deadlines effectively.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a team-oriented environment.
