Payroll Accounting Specialist

Payroll | Accountant – Weatherford, TX (On-Site) A fast-growing company is seeking a Payroll | Accountant to own all internal payroll functions while partnering with a third-party PEO.

What You’ll Do:

• Prepare and approve semi-monthly and per diem payroll inputs
• Process new hires, terminations, wage changes, and withholding updates
• Audit payroll registers and PEO invoices against the GL each pay period
• Serve as the go-to resource for employee pay and benefits questions
• Support general accounting duties, including AP/AR and general ledger

What You Bring:

• Payroll experience; PEO experience a plus

Medical, Dental, Vision

• Hands-on experience administering full-cycle payroll in a business environment.
• Background processing multi-state payroll with a strong understanding of payroll compliance requirements.
• Experience supporting payroll populations ranging from approximately 101 to 500 employees.
• Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now or a similar payroll platform.
• Working knowledge of accounting fundamentals, including general ledger reconciliation and AP/AR activities.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify errors and maintain accurate records.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to handle employee payroll questions professionally.
