Payroll Accountant

Payroll Manager (Remote after Training) | Hospitality Industry

We're partnering with a well-established luxury hospitality organization to identify a Payroll Manager to oversee payroll operations for approximately 400 employees across multiple locations. This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional with hospitality, restaurant, union, employee payroll experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment while partnering closely with HR and Finance.

📍 Location: Initial onsite training in Santa Monica (flexible hybrid training available), then fully remote 💰 Compensation: $80,000-$90,000 base salary

What You'll Do

• Process bi-weekly payroll for approximately 600 employees across multiple locations
• Ensure accurate payroll calculations including wages, overtime, tips, commissions, deductions, and garnishments
• Maintain employee payroll records and system data
• Manage payroll tax filings, quarterly reporting, W-2s, and year-end processing
• Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies
• Partner with HR on new hires, terminations, leaves of absence, and employee status changes
• Generate labor cost, overtime, and payroll analytics reports for leadership
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations

What We're Looking For:

✅ Hospitality, restaurant, or hotel payroll experience ✅ Experience processing payroll for tipped and/or union employees ✅ UKG or ADP Workforce Now experience ✅ Strong communication skills and confident presence ✅ Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities ✅ Payroll, accounting, or finance background preferred
