We are looking for an experienced Paylocity Contractor to support payroll operations for a growing organization in Florida. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for a detail-oriented payroll specialist who can bring strong system knowledge, provide dependable biweekly payroll support, and step in with hands-on processing when needed. The role offers a flexible part-time schedule of up to 20 hours per week while maintaining consistent availability aligned with business needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end biweekly payroll activities with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
  • Serve as the primary subject matter expert for Paylocity, offering guidance on system use, payroll workflows, and issue resolution.
  • Process payroll for a workforce that includes primarily salaried employees as well as a small hourly population.
  • Support payroll administration across multiple states, coordinating tax and compliance considerations as required.
  • Step in to run payroll independently when coverage is needed or workload increases.
  • Partner with payroll team members to strengthen daily operations and provide practical support to team members who need additional guidance.
  • Help maintain organized payroll records, validate data inputs, and review outputs before final submission.
  • Contribute payroll expertise to related operational initiatives when needed, including support tied to integration-related activities.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience working with Paylocity in a payroll-focused role.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage full-cycle payroll processing with limited oversight.
  • Experience handling multi-state payroll requirements and related compliance considerations.
  • Strong understanding of payroll practices for both salaried and hourly employees.
  • Ability to work on a part-time basis up to 20 hours per week with a dependable schedule.
  • Comfortable serving as a payroll subject matter expert and stepping into processing responsibilities as needed.
  • Prior exposure to platforms such as ADP Workforce Now is helpful, though Paylocity expertise is the primary need.
