The role offers the opportunity to contribute to property transactions, discovery activities, and trial preparation while working closely with legal professionals on a variety of assignments.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate legal support for real estate matters such as leases, easements, licenses, and property purchases or sales, ensuring documents are prepared and tracked accurately.
- Review title commitments, surveys, and recorded property documents, summarize key findings, and elevate concerns to attorneys for further analysis.
- Prepare filing packages related to transfer taxes, recording submissions, and associated transaction forms while monitoring completion status.
- Maintain well-organized physical and digital matter files in line with departmental recordkeeping standards and established legal procedures.
- Assist with discovery, civil litigation support, and trial preparation by organizing materials, tracking deadlines, and helping attorneys stay prepared for case activity.
- Use case management software to monitor document status, manage matter information, and support efficient workflow across active files.
- Preserve strict confidentiality when handling legal records, business information, and other sensitive materials.
- Support closing checklists, document logs, and special assignments provided by supervising attorneys as business needs evolve.
- Prior paralegal experience supporting legal matters in real estate, litigation, or both.
- Working knowledge of discovery processes, civil litigation support, and trial preparation activities.
- Experience reviewing title-related materials, including title commitments, recorded documents, and related property records.
- Familiarity with leases, easements, licenses, acquisitions, dispositions, and transaction documentation.

- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple files, deadlines, and follow-up tasks effectively.
- Ability to handle confidential legal and business information with sound judgment and professionalism.
