Original job description

We are looking for a skilled Paralegal to support a busy real estate transactional practice in California. This permanent position is well suited for someone who can manage complex deal documentation, coordinate critical deadlines, and contribute to smooth closings across purchase, sale, and leasing matters. The ideal candidate brings strong experience with title and survey analysis, practical judgment, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced legal environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Examine title reports, surveys, and related due diligence materials to identify issues and support real estate purchase, sale, and lease transactions.
  • Organize and track transaction documents, ensuring files are complete, accurate, and aligned with key milestones and closing requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain critical dates summaries so attorneys and stakeholders remain informed of deadlines and deliverables.
  • Assist with transaction closings by coordinating signatures, compiling closing sets, and following through on post-closing items.
  • Support attorneys with drafting, revising, and managing documents connected to real estate matters, including purchase and lease-related agreements.
  • Communicate with internal teams, clients, and third parties to gather information, resolve document issues, and keep transactions moving forward.
  • At least five years of paralegal experience focused on real estate transactions.
  • Demonstrated ability to review title documentation, surveys, and due diligence materials with a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong working knowledge of real estate purchase and sale transactions as well as leasing matters.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, organize large volumes of documents, and meet competing deadlines.
  • Paralegal certificate from an accredited program or equivalent practical experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently within a collaborative legal team.
