The position requires strong judgment, careful handling of confidential information, and the ability to stay organized while balancing multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities:

  • Draft and revise pleadings, letters, and other legal materials to support ongoing litigation matters.
  • Assist attorneys with legal memoranda and court submissions by cite-checking authorities, applying Bluebook standards, and formatting documents in line with applicable court requirements.
  • Collect and organize factual records, exhibits, and supporting evidence for case initiation, discovery, motions, and related proceedings.
  • Manage discovery workflows by preparing requests and responses, conducting document reviews, and coordinating productions that include redactions, Bates labeling, privilege logs, and eDiscovery tasks.
  • Maintain case information within legal databases and document management systems, ensuring materials are easy to retrieve and accurately filed.
  • Communicate with clients and class members to obtain information, share updates, and support the development of case records.
  • Prepare binders, exhibits, witness files, and other materials needed for depositions, mediations, oral arguments, and trial proceedings.
  • Coordinate litigation support activities such as e-filing, service of documents, deadline tracking, scanning, digital filing, mailings, and general document processing in a paperless environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate preferred, along with at least 3 years of litigation paralegal experience.
  • Strong understanding of legal terminology and the standards that govern paralegal work, with careful attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of state, federal, and appellate court procedures across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Experience using court e-filing platforms and the ability to quickly learn filing systems used in different venues.
  • Proficiency with legal research tools such as LexisNexis or Westlaw and the ability to support drafting of pleadings and discovery materials.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and litigation support or case management software.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize competing assignments, work independently, and remain effective under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with a high level of discretion when handling confidential information.
