Network Engineer

We are looking for a hands-on Network Engineer to support pharmaceutical operations in Bridgewater, New Jersey. This Long-term Contract position is fully on-site and focuses on diagnosing network issues, restoring service quickly, and assisting with infrastructure rollouts across nearby facilities. The role is ideal for someone who is comfortable working directly with network hardware, collaborating with site teams, and maintaining stable connectivity in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Resolve day-to-day network incidents by identifying root causes, repairing connectivity problems, and restoring normal operations across the primary site.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Palo Alto firewalls, including policy updates, performance checks, and issue resolution in production environments.
• Support Cisco switching infrastructure through configuration changes, trunk setup, software upgrades, and troubleshooting of switching-related problems.
• Assist with SD-WAN environments, including diagnosing issues and supporting platforms such as Cisco SD-WAN or Meraki SD-WAN.
• Maintain and troubleshoot Aruba wireless networks to help ensure dependable coverage and performance for business operations.
• Provide network support for two nearby facilities as needed, including occasional local travel to assist with technical issues or planned work.
• Contribute to deployment activities, which may include after-hours or weekend support during implementation windows.
• Handle physical installation and movement of network equipment, including tasks that require lifting hardware up to 50 pounds.
• Proven experience in a Network Engineer role with strong troubleshooting and break/fix support capabilities.
• Hands-on expertise configuring and supporting Palo Alto firewalls; experience with Panorama is a plus.
• Strong background with Cisco networking, including switches, routers, trunking, and switch upgrade activities.
• Working knowledge of Cisco SD-WAN or Meraki SD-WAN, with the ability to explain core concepts and troubleshoot issues.
• Experience configuring and supporting Aruba wireless solutions in an enterprise setting.
• Ability to work on-site five days per week in Bridgewater, New Jersey and travel locally to nearby facilities when required.
• Capability to support occasional evening or weekend deployment work and to safely handle network equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Additional value will be given to candidates with experience in manufacturing environments, building management systems, production networks or HMIs, Wi-Fi survey tools, GxP settings, or exposure to Azure and related cloud technologies.
