Location: East Hartford, CT (Hybrid) Duration: 6-12 Month Consulting Engagement Start Date: Mid-December 2026 Schedule: 40 Hours per Week

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Network Architect Consultant for a long-term consulting engagement with a large enterprise organization in the Greater Hartford area. This position is focused on network architecture, infrastructure modernization, network migrations, integration initiatives, and strategic technology planning. The consultant will work closely with technical leadership to evaluate existing environments, recommend improvements, and help drive complex networking projects across multiple locations.

The ideal candidate will bring a consultative mindset and have the ability to assess existing infrastructure, identify opportunities for improvement, and provide both technical and business-focused recommendations.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and evaluate existing network environments
• Design scalable and secure network architecture solutions
• Lead network integration, migration, and transition projects
• Develop network standards, roadmaps, and best practices
• Recommend infrastructure improvements to increase performance, reliability, and security
• Support enterprise routing, switching, wireless, SD-WAN, firewall, and WAN technologies
• Assist with network cutovers and large-scale infrastructure initiatives
• Create network documentation, diagrams, and technical recommendations
• Partner with technical and business stakeholders to align network strategy with organizational objectives
• Serve as a trusted advisor for networking and infrastructure-related decisions

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of enterprise networking experience
• Experience designing and supporting large-scale network environments
• Strong expertise with enterprise routing and switching technologies
• Experience supporting enterprise wireless networks
• Experience with next-generation firewall platforms
• Experience leading complex networking and infrastructure projects
• Ability to work independently and make strategic recommendations
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
