  • Administer fixed asset accounting by tracking asset activity, monitoring capital spending, and evaluating project costs against approved budgets.
  • Manage inventory accounting by reconciling detailed records to the general ledger, reviewing count adjustments, and coordinating physical inventory activities with finance and audit partners.
  • Compile and distribute operational performance reports that summarize production volumes, usage rates, labor metrics, yields, and cost trends for plant leadership.
  • Support the monthly close by preparing accruals, completing account reconciliations, and performing financial reviews that strengthen the accuracy of period-end results.
  • Assist with forecasting, annual planning, and budgeting by developing cost estimates and contributing financial insight to projected operating results.
  • Partner with mill leadership to perform cost analysis and scenario modeling that identifies opportunities to control spending and improve profitability.

  • Ability to analyze production and cost data, identify variances, and communicate findings clearly to business partners.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records across payables, inventory, and fixed assets.
  • Experience supporting audits and maintaining documentation that meets internal and external reporting requirements.
  • Certification such as CPA or CMA is preferred.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheet analysis and financial systems, with the ability to work effectively across plant and corporate teams.
