Responsibilities:
- Investigate aged accounts and take appropriate follow-up actions to secure payment from commercial insurers, government programs, workers’ compensation carriers, and other payer sources.

- Prepare and submit claim corrections, reconsiderations, and formal appeals to address denials, payment variances, and unresolved reimbursement issues.
- Maintain accurate updates in multiple billing and medical record systems to reflect collection activity, account status, and next steps.
- Communicate with insurance representatives, patients, and internal departments to gather information, clarify discrepancies, and move accounts toward resolution.
- Analyze account data and payment trends to prioritize collection efforts and escalate complex cases when additional review is needed.
- Apply knowledge of medical billing, coding, and payer guidelines to support compliant and efficient account resolution.
- Track follow-up activity in Excel and other reporting tools to monitor progress, aging categories, and recovery outcomes.
- Experience in medical collections within a healthcare, hospital, or related clinical billing environment.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and comfort navigating multiple billing or electronic medical records systems.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with payers, patients, and cross-functional teams.
- Solid numerical and analytical skills with close attention to detail in account review and reconciliation.
- Familiarity with medical coding concepts and documentation requirements related to claim resolution.
