Original job description
We are looking for a curious and detail-focused entry-level Data Analyst to join our team in Georgia. In this role, you will help transform operational and business data into clear reporting and practical insights that support day-to-day decisions. This opportunity is well suited to someone starting their analytics career who enjoys solving problems, working with data tools, and growing in a collaborative, fast-moving environment.
Responsibilities:
- Create, refresh, and maintain dashboards along with recurring reports that provide timely visibility into business performance.
- Examine operational, sales, financial, and customer information to uncover patterns, highlight irregularities, and support informed decision-making.
- Review data for completeness and accuracy by performing validation, reconciliation, and quality checks, then raise issues when records appear inconsistent or incomplete.
- Use SQL to extract, organize, and summarize data for reporting and ad hoc analysis needs.
- Assist with Power BI reporting by contributing to report updates, testing activities, and validation of results.
- Work with structured datasets while building familiarity with data warehouse environments and core data processes.
- Partner with stakeholders across the business to understand reporting goals and present findings in a clear, practical manner.
- Maintain organized documentation for reports, metric definitions, validation methods, and standard procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent hands-on experience with analytics and reporting work.
- Up to 2 years of relevant experience, including internships, academic projects, or independent portfolio work.
- Working knowledge of SQL fundamentals such as joins, filtering, grouping, and aggregation.
- Strong Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and data preparation techniques.
- Basic understanding of reporting, dashboards, and data visualization best practices.
- Careful attention to detail with solid analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, collaborate effectively with others, and learn new tools and technologies quickly.
- Exposure to Power BI, Tableau, Snowflake, Python, or similar analytics tools is a plus.
