We are looking for a detail-oriented IT Support specialist to deliver responsive technical assistance and maintain smooth day-to-day technology operations for employees in California. This Contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving end-user issues across devices, applications, and access management while contributing to a dependable support environment. The role will work closely with internal IT teams to handle device setup, user lifecycle support, security-related tasks, and operational improvements.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver hands-on support for end users experiencing issues with Windows and macOS computers, accessories, and common workplace technology.
  • Diagnose and resolve problems involving Microsoft 365 tools such as Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint to minimize disruption to daily work.
  • Administer user access by assisting with account setup, password support, and application permissions through Entra ID, Active Directory, and Okta.
  • Support endpoint management activities including device enrollment, configuration updates, software distribution, and compliance actions using Microsoft Intune.
  • Investigate and address technical issues related to hardware, installed applications, network connectivity, printers, and meeting room equipment.
  • Prepare, image, deploy, replace, and troubleshoot laptops and other assigned devices to support employee productivity.
  • Coordinate IT tasks tied to employee onboarding and offboarding, ensuring timely setup and recovery of systems and equipment.
  • Contribute to patching efforts, endpoint remediation, and other security-focused activities to help maintain a stable and secure environment.
  • Manage incoming service desk requests with accurate documentation, clear user communication, and timely escalation of advanced issues to specialized teams.
  • Assist with operational IT initiatives such as onboarding readiness, hardware refresh efforts, and other client services projects as needed.
  • At least 2 years of experience in IT help desk, desktop support, or a similar end-user support function.
  • Practical experience supporting Microsoft Windows 10, macOS, and Microsoft 365 applications in a business environment.
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, and basic identity or access support processes.
  • Ability to troubleshoot laptops, desktop software, peripheral devices, and common connectivity problems.
  • Experience handling service desk tickets while maintaining thorough notes and updates for users and internal teams.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Comfortable working independently while knowing when to escalate more complex technical issues.
  • Familiarity with corporate IT support practices, ticketing tools such as Jira, and basic security or patch management concepts is a plus.
