Original job description

We are looking for an experienced IT Manager/Director to lead technology operations and shape a practical, forward-looking IT strategy for our organization. This role will oversee day-to-day support, strengthen infrastructure and security, and partner with business leaders to identify solutions that improve performance and scalability. The ideal candidate brings a balance of operational leadership, technical depth, and business insight to guide teams, vendors, and technology investments toward measurable results.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct the full scope of IT operations, ensuring systems and support services meet business needs and that technical issues are resolved efficiently with clear performance tracking.
  • Create and maintain a technology roadmap that connects infrastructure, applications, and future investments to organizational priorities and long-term growth.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop IT staff by building a capable team with the right mix of technical expertise, accountability, and growth opportunities.
  • Develop and enforce IT governance through documented policies, standards, and procedures that support consistency, reliability, and compliance.
  • Define service expectations and monitor key operational metrics such as availability, incident response, end-user satisfaction, project execution, and vendor results.
  • Partner with departments across the business to assess operational challenges, uncover efficiency opportunities, and recommend technology-driven improvements.
  • Oversee the planning and delivery of IT initiatives by setting priorities, allocating resources, and ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within approved budgets.
  • Advance the organization’s data and reporting capabilities to improve access to information and support faster, more informed decision-making.
  • Strengthen cybersecurity practices by enhancing controls, coordinating audit-related activities, and proactively reducing information security risk exposure.
  • Manage strategic vendor relationships, optimize the use of Microsoft 365 tools, and assess emerging technologies such as AI and data solutions for business value.
  • Proven experience leading IT operations, infrastructure, and support functions in a management or director-level capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory, backup technologies, Cisco technologies, computer hardware, and configuration management practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to build IT roadmaps, manage budgets, and align technology decisions with broader business objectives.
  • Experience establishing service standards, measuring operational performance, and driving continuous improvement across IT services.
  • Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, risk management, and audit support within a business environment.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional collaboration, translate business needs into technical solutions, and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Experience overseeing external technology vendors and holding partners accountable for service quality and delivery commitments.
