Internal Audit Manager/Director

We are looking for an experienced Internal Audit Manager to help strengthen risk management, internal controls, and operational accountability. This role is ideal for a strategic and analytical leader who can evaluate complex processes, translate findings into practical recommendations, and communicate effectively with stakeholders across the organization. The successful candidate will combine sound audit judgment with strong data analysis capabilities to support compliance, financial integrity, and continuous improvement.

This opportunity is mainly remote (only have to go onsite for team meeting, every couple of months). Candidate must live within 95 miles of Minneapolis, MN.

• At least five years of experience in internal audit, public accounting, corporate finance, revenue cycle, compliance, or a similar controls-oriented function.
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate information critically, draw sound conclusions, and make objective decisions related to internal controls and risk.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey findings clearly and work effectively with a range of stakeholders.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Power BI.
• Experience developing or applying data analytics techniques in support of audit procedures, testing, or reporting.
• Familiarity with analytics and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, IDEA, or similar platforms.
• Exposure to enterprise and healthcare systems such as PeopleSoft, Oracle, Epic, Cerner, or Meditech is preferred.
• Background in healthcare, not-for-profit organizations, or outsourced service environments is preferred.
