Original job description
We are looking for an experienced Innovation & Digital DevOps (IDDO) Business Analyst to support digital initiatives in Torrance, California. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who can partner directly with stakeholders, translate business needs into well-defined solutions, and contribute across both Agile and traditional delivery models. The role requires strong communication, sound analytical judgment, and the ability to move work forward independently while supporting project and Scrum-related activities.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with business and technical teams to gather, analyze, and refine requirements into clear functional documentation and actionable user stories.
- Maintain and prioritize the backlog by shaping stories, defining acceptance criteria, and capturing important decisions throughout the project lifecycle.
- Facilitate meetings with stakeholders, lead discussions confidently, and produce organized documentation such as meeting summaries and business artifacts.
- Support Scrum ceremonies and provide light project coordination to help keep deliverables on track and aligned with business objectives.
- Develop test cases and supporting documentation, execute test scenarios, and monitor defect resolution through completion.
- Perform gap analysis to identify process improvements, clarify business needs, and recommend practical solution options.
- Work across Agile, waterfall, and product-oriented delivery environments while adapting documentation and communication to each framework.
- Use tools such as Azure DevOps, Clarity, Visio, SharePoint, or comparable platforms to manage requirements, workflows, and project artifacts.
- Collaborate on initiatives involving Salesforce and related financial services platforms, including work connected to loan, servicing, insurance, or captive finance operations when applicable.
- Significant experience in a Business Analyst role within client-facing environments.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to create clear documentation and present information effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to support Scrum processes and handle light project management responsibilities as needed.
- Proven experience in requirements management, including story writing, backlog grooming, prioritization, and acceptance criteria definition.
- Hands-on background in test planning, script development, test execution, and defect tracking.
- Working knowledge of Agile, waterfall, and product management methodologies.
- Practical experience with Azure DevOps, Clarity, Microsoft Visio, SharePoint, or similar business analysis and delivery tools.
- Familiarity with Salesforce and financial services systems; experience in loan origination, servicing, insurance, or captive finance is preferred.
Onsite 4 days per week and 1 day remote in Torrance, CA
