***100% CONTRACT POSITION - LONG TERM, HYBRID***

We are looking for a Human Resources (HR) Generalist to support a growing organization. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for someone who can confidently manage core people operations, maintain compliant records, and provide dependable support across recruiting, onboarding, payroll coordination, benefits administration, and employee relations. The role calls for a hands-on HR team member who works well independently, communicates clearly with employees and partners, and helps strengthen HR processes as the company continues to scale.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with recruiting efforts by organizing candidate pipelines, supporting offer coordination, preparing employment documentation, and helping move hires efficiently through pre-employment steps such as background checks.
  • Maintain accurate records for employees, agencies, contractors, and third-party vendors while ensuring documentation is complete, current, and properly managed.
  • Work alongside external partners and internal stakeholders to assist with payroll administration across multiple states, as well as benefits, retirement plan support, equity-related coordination, and compensation planning activities.
  • Support employee relations matters and help uphold HR policies, audit readiness, record retention practices, and broader compliance requirements in collaboration with legal and external advisors.
  • Administer contingent workforce processes and track employment-based immigration matters, including filing coordination, case monitoring, and work authorization timelines for various visa categories and permanent residency cases.
  • Monitor key compliance deadlines and follow through on required actions related to labor regulations, employee documentation, and authorization expirations across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Contribute to onboarding and day-to-day HR administration by ensuring new team members receive timely support, accurate paperwork, and a smooth start to employment.
  • Improve and refine HR systems, workflows, and operational processes to support efficiency, accuracy, and scalability as organizational needs expand.
  • 2+ years of human resources experience, ideally within a technology startup or another fast-growing business environment.
  • Background supporting people operations for an organization with 100+ employees across multiple states.
  • Practical experience coordinating payroll, benefits administration, onboarding, and general HR operations with external providers or a PEO model.
  • Familiarity with employee relations, HR compliance, records management, and policy-related administration.
  • Experience tracking employment-based immigration cases and monitoring visa or work authorization deadlines in partnership with legal counsel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain compensation, benefits, equity, and policy information clearly to employees.
  • Highly organized and self-directed, with the ability to manage competing priorities carefully while maintaining discretion and accuracy.
  • Proficiency with common workplace tools such as Google Workspace and Slack; experience with platforms like E-Verify, Insperity, Greenhouse, or comparable systems is preferred.
