This Contract position is ideal for an HR specialist who enjoys creating structure, improving processes, and supporting teams during growth and change. The role combines hands-on HR administration with project-based work across onboarding, benefits support, documentation, and recruiting systems, while partnering with a lean, collaborative organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Build, revise, and standardize employee handbook content for several related business entities to ensure clarity and consistency.
  • Coordinate onboarding and separation activities, including documentation, communication, and process follow-through for employees across the organization.
  • Support benefits-related activities such as open enrollment and employee communications, helping maintain an organized and efficient experience.
  • Develop practical HR resources including templates, workflows, and standard operating procedures that strengthen day-to-day operations.
  • Improve and automate HR processes where possible to increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
  • Maintain employee records and HR documentation in an organized manner while supporting compliance-focused practices.
  • Assist with organizational change initiatives and restructuring efforts by providing HR coordination and administrative support.
  • Help deploy and refine the recruiting module within the HR system, including setup, process alignment, and user adoption support.
  • Provide broad HR and administrative assistance to leadership and employees in a fast-moving, multi-business environment.
  • Prior experience in an HR Generalist capacity with responsibility for core employee lifecycle activities.
  • Recent success working in a fully remote environment while managing priorities independently.
  • Hands-on experience with onboarding, employee relations, HR administration, and benefits-related support.
  • Familiarity with HRIS platforms and comfort learning, implementing, or optimizing HR technology tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects at once in a changing, deadline-driven setting.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build trust and work effectively across teams.
  • Resourceful, adaptable, and organized approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
